Who’s behind the audit

We’ve been store owners ourselves.

2010: our first store, started with zero capital, soon handling 500+ orders a day with our own brand and our own fulfilment. 2017: the agency, built by store owners for store owners. The audit is our way of delivering value first.

No sales pitch. You get a document, not a meeting.

No commitment. No contract, no subscription, no hidden costs.

No access needed. We review your store from the outside, the way Google and your customers see it.

Limited spots. So every audit gets the same depth.

Why an audit

Most issues cost you money every single day. And nobody notices.

Four examples from real audits, anonymised. Each tile shows the measured value and the benchmark.

Typical revenue loss
5 to 15%of revenue is lost to load time, technical errors and friction in the checkout process.

What sets it apart

Not just an issue list. You see what your store could look like.

From a real audit: on the left, the store today; on the right, our proposal. Drag the slider.

Price on the first screen. Wall panel from €99.99 right in the hero with a button to the product, instead of only after scrolling 1,369 px.

Trust at the top. Class A per ISO 23351, 31 dB noise reduction, €0 shipping, plus delivery time, money-back guarantee and phone support below.

One product, one goal. Both buttons lead to the panel, “View wall panel” and “All acoustic panels”, instead of leading nowhere twice.

Products on the first screen. Compact header with image and short text, followed immediately by the panels in three columns instead of 969 px of empty space.

Filters open. Set sizes as a bar above the products, colour and “In stock only” selectable directly, product count and sorting visible.

Price with required details. Discount as a badge, incl. VAT and free shipping on every card, real product photos instead of placeholders.

Price and delivery promise together. €99.99 instead of €150.42, incl. VAT and free shipping, plus “In stock” with a real delivery date.

Variants as tiles. Brown or dark brown at a glance, instead of 40 variants in a dropdown.

Set calculator in the buy box. Enter wall width and wall height, and the store tells you the set size you need. PayPal right below the add-to-cart button.

1 / 3 From our store audit for echonut.com, 2026. Left: the live store; right: our proposal.

Canonical of category pages points to a different page or a 404 page

Description: 31 of 96 category pages report a different URL to Google as the original. 19 canonicals point to a 404 page, 8 to another category, 4 to a redirect.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Open your-store.com/mens-sneakers
  2. Search the source code for rel=”canonical”
  3. Open the specified URL
Actual result

Men’s Sneakers points to Mens-Sneakers-2, which returns a 404. Running Shoes points to Athletic Shoes.

Summary
Top three problems
  • 31 of 96 canonicals wrong and 73 dead product URLs in the sitemap: category pages lose rankings, Google crawls empty pages.
  • A broken path to purchase: homepage without a message or button, product page on mobile scores 38 out of 100, checkout with 9 required fields.
  • Price and delivery time missing from the schema: AI systems cite marketplaces instead of your-store.com.
Top three opportunities
  • Message, search and categories on the first screen: the path to the product shrinks from three scrolls to zero.
  • Leverage a strong brand: 4.7 stars from 2,300 reviews, brand mentioned in 4 of 5 AI answers.
  • Product page on mobile under 2.5 s LCP: Google’s benchmark is achievable with image and script optimisation.

Working with the team behind the Konforo development was a real stroke of luck for us. Even our complicated ideas, which weren’t always easy to grasp, were implemented with a lot of patience and expertise. We especially appreciate the flexibility: new requests or changes are picked up quickly and delivered reliably. You can tell the team doesn’t just write code, it works with us to find the best solutions. That makes the collaboration enjoyable and, in the end, delivers exactly the results we have in mind.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does the audit really cost?
Nothing. There are no hidden costs, no conditions and no subscription. The audit is our way of showing how we work. Comparable audits on the market cost £1,000 to £3,000 (excl. VAT).
Do I have to hire you afterwards?
No. You can implement the actions yourself, with your agency or with us. There’s no sales pitch, just a walkthrough of the results if you’d like one.
Which store platforms do you audit?
Shopware 5 and 6, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, OXID, JTL and custom platforms. What matters is that your store is live and has visitors. We audit stores selling in the UK as well as across Europe and the US.
How long does it take?
Usually within two business days of receiving your request. For very large stores with multiple languages or tens of thousands of products, it can take one day longer. We’ll let you know in advance.
Is it done by a tool or a person?
Both. Our experts use professional tools like Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix and crawlers, but they evaluate the results manually and review your most important pages themselves. The design proposals and the issue list with reproduction steps are created by hand.
What happens to my data?
We use your details solely to create the audit and send it to you. No sharing with third parties, no newsletter without your consent, and processing in line with the UK GDPR. Details are in our privacy policy.
