PayTrace is a US-based payment gateway focused on secure card processing and ACH payments. It is particularly common among US B2B merchants because of its ACH support, which allows bank-to-bank transfers alongside standard card payments, a preferred method for business buyers placing larger orders. The solution25-built plugin connects PayTrace directly to Shopware 6, making it a natural fit for Shopware stores selling into the US, including UK merchants with US business customers, that need both card and ACH acceptance.
The plugin accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) as well as ACH payments for bank account transfers. Customers can also save their card details via PayTrace's tokenisation for faster repeat purchases. All payment types are managed from within the Shopware admin without needing to log into a separate PayTrace dashboard for routine transactions.
When a customer saves their card, PayTrace stores a token rather than the actual card number. Your Shopware server only handles the token, not raw card data. This significantly reduces your PCI compliance scope because sensitive card details never touch your infrastructure. Returning customers use their saved token at checkout, which makes the purchase faster without compromising security.
Yes. Captures, refunds, and transaction status monitoring are all handled directly from the Shopware order management view. Successful and declined transactions are visible alongside standard order details, so your operations team works from a single interface rather than switching between Shopware and a separate payment portal.
