What Shopware 6.7 brings in AI as of October 2026: Copilot, Intelligence+, Nexus, MCP Server, Agentic Commerce, and AI search, each with plan, version, price, and limitations, plus five use cases with costs.
Shopware 6.7 brings AI in five places: the Copilot, twelve AI features starting with the Rise plan, the Intelligence+ add-on subscription, the MCP Server, and Agentic Commerce. The Copilot has been available on all plans since version 6.7.1.0, including the free Community Edition. Shopware has listed its agentic features as stable since 6.7.15.0.
Shopware’s subscriptions are affordable. Intelligence+ costs €19 per month, or €29 on the Community Edition. The Nexus integration platform includes 100 to 5,000 executions per month depending on the plan, and the MCP Server is included in the core.
The real effort is in data, permissions, and review. In our experience, setting up MCP access with roles and approvals costs €1,500 to €5,000, and a first AI agent costs €5,000 to €15,000. Nexus is in beta, the MCP Server is experimental, and some AI product feeds are only available to merchants in the US.
Before founding solution25, we grew our own online store to more than 500 orders a day. Since 2017 we have been delivering projects as a Shopware agency, and today that includes AI integrations with Claude, ChatGPT, and custom agents.
Shopware expanded its AI features rapidly in 2026, and not every feature is included in every plan. This article is for store owners and ecommerce leads running a Shopware 6 store who want to decide which AI features are worth it for them and what they cost.
After reading it, you’ll know which AI features your plan includes, what add-on subscriptions and setup cost, and which use case to start with. The information refers to Shopware 6.7.15.1 from October 7, 2026; all prices as of October 2026, excluding VAT.
Shopware groups its AI features under the name Shopware Intelligence, plus the MCP Server, Nexus, and Agentic Commerce. If you’re evaluating Shopware as an AI-powered ecommerce platform, look at each building block separately, because maturity and cost vary widely.

Figure: The chart shows that the MCP Server and the agentic Copilot have only been available without a feature flag, or as stable, since September and October 2026, so a store needs at least version 6.7.14. The Copilot is the AI assistant in the Shopware Administration. Administrators get it automatically, and you enable it for other users through roles (Copilot documentation).
Agentic requires Data Insights. Since 6.7.14.0, the Copilot also uses MCP tools from plugins and apps and presents any write calls as a preview for approval first (Copilot Tool Approval).
Intelligence+ is the add-on subscription for the advanced AI features: €19 per month on Rise, Evolve, and Beyond, €29 on the Community Edition (pricing page). It includes unlimited use of Copilot Agentic, Data Insights, the 3D Preview Generator, and CAD to 3D; there are no fixed request quotas.
Before that, Data Insights and other services come with a monthly free quota whose size Shopware doesn’t disclose, while the agentic features are tied to Intelligence+. You book it in the service itself or under Settings, System, Shopware Services (Shopware documentation).
Older than the Copilot are twelve individual features that Shopware has been building out since 2023. They require the Commercial extension and are therefore part of Rise, Evolve, and Beyond (Shopware documentation).
With context-based search, customers type in whole sentences, and image-based search finds similar products for an uploaded photo. Context-based search is Shopware’s built-in natural language search.
For large catalogs, Shopware offers Deep Search powered by Nosto with personalization and synonym recognition. Pricing depends on catalog, traffic, and feature scope and is only available on request.
Text to image generates images from a description. According to the documentation, the Image Editor, which uses the Finegrain API to cut out objects and add shadows, will no longer be available after October 31, 2026.
CAD to 3D converts CAD files into 3D views and, like the 3D Preview Generator, is part of Intelligence+. According to Shopware, the Copilot handles translations on demand; for entire catalogs in multiple languages, we tend to use Store extensions or the API.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard through which AI assistants call a system’s tools. Since version 6.7.11.0 from June 16, 2026, Shopware ships its own MCP Server in the core (Release Notes 6.7.11.0).
The /api/_mcp endpoint works with the Admin API, the management interface, and its permissions, while /store-api/_mcp works with the storefront’s Store API in the context of a sales channel, both over the Streamable HTTP web transport. Until version 6.8 the server is considered experimental, so tool names may still change.
Write tools such as shopware-entity-upsert or shopware-order-state run as a dry run by default and only return a preview; only a call with dryRun=false changes data. The one exception is media upload (tools reference).
Per integration and per user, an allowlist restricts the permitted tools in addition to the ACL role, and administrator accounts always bypass it. The limits are 300 calls per minute on the Admin endpoint and 120 on the Store API (configuration).
The Store API endpoint is meant for customer-side agents that use a store like a visitor would. The core only provides search tools and the sales channel context there; product search, cart, and checkout have to be added by extensions (Store API MCP).
According to Shopware, Nexus is a platform for event-driven automation. It connects Shopware to ERP, CRM, and PIM through visual workflows (Nexus product page).
Included are 100 executions per month on the Community Edition, 1,000 on Rise, 2,000 on Evolve, and 5,000 on Beyond. One execution is one successful node run, unused executions expire, and each additional 1,000 cost €10.
An example: a workflow with three nodes that reports 2,000 orders a month to the ERP and Slack uses 6,000 executions. On Rise, the 5,000 executions above the quota cost €50 per month.
The Flow Builder automates processes within Shopware, while Nexus connects multiple systems. For production ERP integrations, we recommend proven connectors or n8n until general availability.
Agentic Commerce means purchases that AI agents prepare or complete on behalf of customers. Our article on Agentic Commerce puts the offerings from OpenAI, Google, and PayPal into context.
Version 6.7.10.0 from May 6, 2026 added an experimental Agentic Commerce sales channel to the core, starting with a product feed for OpenAI in JSONL format, a text file with one record per line. Since 6.7.12 the feature has been moving into the SwagAgenticCommerce extension, and with 6.8 it will be removed from the core (Release Notes 6.7.12.0).
The free Agentic Commerce (Beta) extension generates feeds for OpenAI and Google, counts orders from AI channels, and supports the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP). Version 1.4.0 runs on Shopware 6.5.8.0 to 6.7.15.1 but has a rating of 1.4 out of 5 stars from seven reviews, several of which report crashes.
The Agentic Product Feed with PayPal StoreSync is currently only available to merchants in the US, with Europe to follow (Shopware Agentic Commerce). According to the documentation, merchant registration with ChatGPT is also only possible in the US so far.
Since 6.7.12, every sales channel can optionally serve the files /llms.txt and /AGENTS.md, text files that describe the store to AI systems in compact form. Shopware’s free Agentic Readiness Scanner checks how well a store is prepared for AI agents based on the store URL.
The Store has its own category for AI tools. Most extensions work with your own API key from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or Mistral, and you pay the model costs there on top.
| Extension | Vendor | Price | Function | Compatibility and rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All-in-One KI Shop Assistent | Biloba IT | €39.99 per month or €399 per year | Product and SEO copy, alt text, chat assistant in the storefront | 6.4.0.0 to 6.7.15.1, 4.97 out of 5 from 17 reviews |
| Translation Pro AI | Biloba IT | €19.99 per month or €199 per year | Translates products, variants, and custom fields into 18 languages | 6.4.15.0 to 6.7.15.1, 2 reviews |
| InsightSearch | codegiganten | €27.95 per month or €289.95 per year | Semantic search with typo tolerance, AI recommendations for “Goes well with” | 6.6.9.0 to 6.7.15.1, 3 reviews |
Prices and ratings as shown in the Store on October 28, 2026, all with a free trial month. Our overview of the best Shopware 6 plugins explains the criteria we use to choose extensions.
These five use cases have proven themselves in our projects, ordered by the effort needed to get started.
The description assistant, the Copilot, or a Store extension write usable drafts as soon as attributes, materials, and intended use are maintained. Without that data the model invents properties, which is why a review before go-live is part of the process.
For a few hundred products, an extension for €5 to €40 per month plus API costs is enough. From several thousand products on, a pipeline via the Admin API pays off, in our experience for €3,000 to €10,000 one-time; the article AI product descriptions covers prompts and review steps.
An agent answers questions about delivery status, returns, or invoices if it is allowed to read order data and hands edge cases off to staff. Since August 2, 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires that customers can tell when they are talking to an AI.
In our experience, a pilot with approval workflows costs €5,000 to €15,000, and a service agent in production €15,000 to €40,000. The article on AI agents in ecommerce covers types and a blueprint.
Context-based search, Deep Search, or a semantic extension like InsightSearch, which searches by meaning instead of keyword, are built for queries like “waterproof hiking boots for wide feet” where pure keyword search often fails. Measure the share of zero-result searches and the conversion rate after a search beforehand.
In our experience, setup and fine-tuning with synonyms, weighting, and tests with real search terms cost €2,000 to €8,000.
Copilot Data Insights answers questions directly from store data. With the free Shopware Analytics extension (2.5 out of 5 stars from 33 reviews), you can save results as a KPI on the dashboard, and Agentic Commerce counts orders from AI channels separately.
An obvious use case is reconciling Shopware orders with purchases in your tracking to find days with large discrepancies. Read-only MCP access is enough for that, at the lower end of the €1,500 to €5,000 setup range.
Through the MCP Server, staff change data in a chat: prices for a category, missing properties, delivery status. Every change shows up as a preview first; for thousands of records, the Sync API, which Shopware uses to write many records in one call, remains the better route.
In our experience, setup with roles, allowlists, client configuration, and training costs €1,500 to €5,000. Custom tools for recurring processes, such as a return with refund and inventory booking in one step, run €5,000 to €20,000.
For TonerPartner, a printer supplies retailer with 32 online brands, we consolidated all stores into one Shopware 6 environment, with custom plugins for compatibility and cartridge mapping and optimized search across millions of SKUs. According to the case study, conversion rates rose by 25%, attributed to smoother navigation, faster search, and a consistent user experience.
The case study doesn’t describe an AI feature for this, but rather the data model, plugins, and search. That’s why we only plan AI search and AI copy once compatibilities, attributes, and categories are properly maintained, because a model can only find and describe what’s in the data.
For Claude and ChatGPT, we use the native MCP Server and extend it with our plugin AI Connect (MCP Connector); the article MCP Server for Shopware walks through the setup step by step. Claude Desktop and Claude Code talk directly to the /api/_mcp endpoint, with an integration’s credentials sent as HTTP headers (Getting Started).
AI Connect generates ready-made configurations for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Codex, assigns each connection a Shopware ACL role, and shows every change as a preview before it runs. The audit log makes activity traceable by tool, mode, result, and account, and there is also natural language search for staff and customers using your own OpenAI or Anthropic key.
ChatGPT connects MCP servers in Developer Mode, available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education, and asks for confirmation on write actions by default (OpenAI documentation). Because ChatGPT only accepts OAuth or no authentication, we put an OAuth sign-in in front of the store that internally uses its own integration and role, so the same permissions and approvals apply to ChatGPT as to Claude.
License costs for AI are low with Shopware; the real costs come from setup, model usage, and maintenance. The table separates official prices from real-world figures.
| Cost block | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Shopware Intelligence+ | €19 per month, €29 on the Community Edition | Pricing page |
| Classic AI features | Included in the plan, Rise from €600 per month | Pricing page |
| Shopware Nexus | Quota included in the plan, €10 per additional 1,000 executions | Pricing page |
| Claude or ChatGPT for staff | $20 per user per month with monthly billing (Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus) | Anthropic, OpenAI |
| Store extensions | €5 to €40 per month per extension plus API costs | Shopware Store |
| MCP access with roles and approvals | €1,500 to €5,000 one-time | solution25 experience |
| Product copy pipeline via the API | €3,000 to €10,000 one-time | solution25 experience |
| AI agent pilot with approvals | €5,000 to €15,000 | solution25 experience |
| Ongoing support | €500 to €2,500 per month plus model costs | solution25 experience |
The real-world figures depend mainly on the number of roles, data sources, and languages. What a Shopware store costs overall, from license to maintenance, is covered in our article on Shopware pricing.
Our take: For most Shopware merchants, the best first step is a use case built on existing data, such as product copy with approvals or reporting via read-only MCP access. We currently only test Nexus and Agentic Commerce on non-critical workflows, because both are in beta and merchant registration with ChatGPT is only possible in the US so far.
As tools, Copilot Data Insights for questions about your store data, your web analytics tool, such as GA4 in Shopware 6, and the logs from the Copilot or AI Connect for changes are enough. Without a baseline before launch, you can’t prove any effect.
Check the figures monthly and after every Shopware update, because beta features are still changing. Adjust course if a metric isn’t better after two months than it was before launch.
Shopware groups its AI features under the name Shopware Intelligence, and according to Shopware the Copilot runs on a multi-model architecture that combines several language models, hosted in European data centers. Through the MCP Server, you can also connect Claude, ChatGPT, and other assistants.
The Knowledge feature is free on all plans from 6.7.1.0, including the Community Edition. Data Insights comes with a monthly free quota, and the agentic features are part of Shopware Intelligence+ for €19 per month, or €29 on the Community Edition.
The Copilot, Intelligence+, MCP Server, and Nexus are available on all plans, including the Community Edition. The twelve classic AI features, such as the description assistant or context-based search, require the Commercial extension and therefore at least Rise, starting at €600 per month.
Yes, through the MCP Server, which has been in the core since 6.7.11.0 and active without a feature flag since 6.7.14.0. Claude signs in with an integration’s credentials, while ChatGPT needs OAuth sign-in. The role, allowlist, and dry run limit what the assistant can see and change.
Nexus is Shopware’s integration platform for event-driven workflows between Shopware, ERP, CRM, and PIM, currently in beta. Each plan includes 100 to 5,000 executions per month, and each additional 1,000 cost €10.
In Shopware, these include search with whole sentences or by photo, review summaries, and a personal message after purchase. On top of that come chat assistants from the Store and Agentic Commerce, where assistants like ChatGPT find products through feeds.
Partly. In June 2026, Shopware introduced Experience Studio as a research preview that is meant to generate storefronts from prompts. Catalog, legal texts, payment methods, integrations, and testing are still project work that AI speeds up but doesn’t replace.
For the Copilot, Shopware states that it hosts in Europe, doesn’t process personal data, and doesn’t use inputs for training. For Claude, ChatGPT, or Store extensions that handle customer data, you need a data processing agreement with the respective provider, and that doesn’t replace a legal review of your specific case.
