It can also change things for you: prices, stock, descriptions, categories, reviews. Every change is shown to you as a preview first, and only happens after you confirm it.
What you need
- A Shopware shop, version 6.7.11 or later (6.7.x).
- The Shopware plugin Solution25 MCP Workflows, version 1.9.1 or later: [DOWNLOAD / SHOPWARE STORE LINK].
- An administrator account in that shop.
- An AI client that supports remote MCP connectors:
- Claude (claude.ai, desktop, mobile, Claude Code);
- ChatGPT;
- the Gemini app (currently for personal Google accounts in the US, in English);
- or Gemini CLI.
Step 1: Install the plugin
- In Shopware, open Extensions > My extensions.
- Upload or install Solution25 MCP Workflows, then activate it.
- Activating it switches on Shopware’s MCP server and prepares the role for AI clients.
The plugin adds three pages under Settings > System:
- MCP connector: connect and manage AI clients.
- MCP audit log: every action an AI client took in your shop.
- MCP storefront: the optional AI search and storefront chat.
Step 2: Add the connector to your AI client
The connector address is:
[https://mcp.solution25.com/shopware]
- Claude (web, desktop, mobile): open Settings > Connectors.
- Once the connector is in the directory: Browse connectors, then Solution25 for Shopware, then Connect.
- Until then: Add custom connector, then paste the address.
- Claude Code: run
claude mcp add --transport http solution25-shopware [https://mcp.solution25.com/shopware]
Then run /mcp to sign in.
- ChatGPT: add a custom connector (app) with the address above. [CHECK CURRENT MENU PATH AND WHICH PLANS SUPPORT IT.]
- Gemini app: open Settings > Connected Apps > Add a custom app and paste the address.
- Gemini CLI: add this to
~/.gemini/settings.json; Gemini CLI then opens the sign-in page itself:
{ "mcpServers": { "shopware": { "httpUrl": "[https://mcp.solution25.com/shopware]" } } }
Step 3: Choose what the AI client may do
The AI client opens our sign-in page. It shows:
- A one-time connection code, valid for 30 minutes.
- The permissions: for each area (Products, Categories, Manufacturers, Media, Reviews, Orders, Customers) you choose View, Edit, Create or Delete.
- Ready-made choices:
- Read only (the default);
- Catalogue editor;
- Order management;
- Everything.
Keep the page open.
Step 4: Approve the connection in Shopware
- In Shopware, open Settings > System > MCP connector.
- Paste the connection code. The page shows:
- which AI client asks for access;
- whether its domain is verified;
- where the sign-in returns to;
- the permissions it asks for.
- Check that this is the request you started, then click Connect.
The AI client finishes signing in by itself. You can only grant permissions you hold yourself.
Using it
Some examples to try:
- “Which products are out of stock or running low?”
- “Show me today’s orders and anything stuck.”
- “Set the price of SW10011 to 24.90 and its stock to 50.” (You get a preview first.)
- “Find reviews waiting for approval.”
- “Give me this week’s sales compared with last week.”
Built-in prompts: Daily report, Weekly sales and Connect another shop. In Claude, ChatGPT and other clients that support it, a shops card in the chat lists your connected shops and has an Add another shop button.
What the AI client can do
Which of these the AI client gets depends on the permissions you granted.

How changes stay safe
- Preview first: every change is a preview. Nothing in the shop changes until you agree and the AI client confirms with a one-time token, valid for 15 minutes.
- Checked again: if the shop changed since the preview, the change is refused and a new preview is needed.
- Recorded: every action is listed under Settings > System > MCP audit log.
- Limited: the AI client only sees tools that its permissions allow, and Shopware’s own access control checks every call as well.
Several shops
One sign-in can hold up to 10 shops.
- Ask the AI client to connect another shop, or use the Add another shop button on the shops card. You get a one-time link, valid for 60 minutes.
- Open the link, choose the permissions and paste the code under Settings > System > MCP connector in the other shop.
Change permissions or disconnect
- Change permissions: in Shopware, under Settings > System > MCP connector, click Change permissions on the connection.
- Disconnect: click Disconnect. This also deletes the connection on our server.
- In the AI client: you can remove the connector there.
- Sign-in lifetime: a sign-in lasts at most 90 days. After that, the AI client asks you to sign in again.
Troubleshooting
| Problem |
What to do |
| “This code is unknown, already used or expired” |
Codes last 30 minutes and work once. Start the connection again in the AI client. |
| A tool is missing |
The connection does not have that permission. Click Change permissions in Shopware, then start a new chat. |
| The connector server cannot reach the shop |
The shop needs a public HTTPS address. If yours differs from the shop’s main address, set it under Settings > System > MCP connector. It has to be one of the shop’s own domains. |
| “Automatic registration failed” (Gemini) |
Check that you used the full address ending in /shopware. |
Privacy and security
- What we store: our server keeps only what it needs for the connection. Access keys are encrypted, and codes and tokens are stored only as hashes.
- What we don’t store: shop data such as products, orders and customers is passed to your AI client when you ask, and not stored by us.
- Details: see our privacy policy: Privacy Policy – Solution25 for Shopware.
