Shopify vs. Wix – Which one is better? 

What is Shopify?

Businesses can create online stores to sell goods on websites or through social media using the well-known e-commerce platform Shopify. The business additionally offers point-of-sale, or POS, software that companies may sell in their physical stores. 

What is Wix?

Web hosting and website design services are both offered by the cloud-based website builder Wix. For small and medium-sized enterprises, it’s a great ecommerce platform that’s simple to use, customizable, and reasonably priced.  

For small enterprises and brand-conscious entrepreneurs, we advise Wix over Shopify. The latter is better for larger stores and offers higher scalability, but it’s also more expensive and difficult to use. This works great if you require a lot of power, but it’s less suitable if you need to get your work done quicker.

Wix 

Wix offers more than 800 templates. While a sizable portion of them are made expressly for e-commerce, many of them are not. They cover practically every market imaginable.  

From web applications to page scrolling: You can modify your site with Wix Corvid, formerly known as Wix Code. Simply go to the Wix Editor and choose “Code” + “Developer Tools” to get started. 

Shopify 

Shopify provides 100 unique themes that are modern and cater to a variety of sectors. However, some themes cost up to $180 and may deter those who just started a business. You can modify the themes by selecting “Edit HTML/CSS” from the Admin Page. 

Mobile Responsive Design

You must first determine whether your store will appear well across all platforms. Remember, mobile commerce is steadily rising. Since March 2020, about 45% consumers reported they have increased their use of mobile devices for online shopping. Thankfully all themes from Shopify and Wix are mobile friendly, so your store will function flawlessly on any devices your customers use.

 Includes more than 100 distinct payment methods. However, Square is excluded. 
 	
 Transaction fees are applied whenever a gateway apart from Shopify Payments is used.
